Teen Volunteer Program

In an effort to provide a community service for youth, our Teen Volunteer Program offers teens an opportunity to provide a wide range of supportive services to adult patients, bereaved children, and our office staff. Teens are trained alongside adult volunteers and supervised by our Volunteer Coordinators.

Teen volunteers bring a youthfulness and energy to Hope that patients and families enjoy. Teen volunteers enjoy working in our three Hope Hospice Houses, in the office, at special events, at Nursing facilities, and our Adult Day Health Center. Teens have helped to create scrapbooks and slide shows for families. At the Adult Day Health Center, teens can help lead activities and build relationships with seniors in our care.

Research has shown that both seniors and teens benefit from taking the time to get to know each other. Our teen volunteers share their enthusiasm and excitement for new experiences with our patients and families.
